I first launched a biking website in 2003 as a means of sharing my passion for motorcycle riding with any like-minded people out there. Much of the content is all about being out on two wheels enjoying the ride, the roads, the scenery, and the routes. You'll also discover I'm a big fan of Triumph motorcycles, GPS navigation, and digital photography.

In common with most bikers I love the twisties and given the choice I will always seek out the country lanes and back roads. So in general I avoid motorways unless mile-munching is absolutely necessary. A-roads are fine but the proliferation of speed cameras and heavy traffic has effectively spoiled most chances of a spirited ride. I now appreciate the great scenery and places a carefully planned route can offer, combined with a more challenging ride. Being based in the northwest of the UK, many of my rides are located within a 125mile radius of my home near Preston. I'm idealy located to take advantage of rides into the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, the Peak District, and North Wales. Alongside these areas you'll also find details of my tour routes into Scotland, Ireland, mainland Europe, and even the Canaries!

I've provided brief reviews of my own favourite rides, along with photos and downloadable route files. I'm a keen fan of SatNav and use Garmin GPS with Mapsource PC software.

For anyone seeking inspiration to get out on their own motorcycle, or even if you're just browsing, please take a look at my photo gallery. Digital photography has become another passion of mine and I always try to record my bike journeys in pictures.
