Triumph 1050 Speed Triple

My Speed Triple

The Speed Triple is an iconic bike in so far as it has gradually defined the subspecies of "naked streetfighter". Originally launched in 1994 it was little more than a Daytona model with the fairings removed. Inspired by the earlier 60's cafe racers it's been skillfully refined over the years by Triumph into one of their most successful and desirable models.

The sound, character, and sheer power of the 1050cc triple engine delivering 130bhp is at the heart of this stripped-for-action rebel. Twin headlamps, black multi spoke alloy wheels, a short rear section with compact twin exhaust cans all contribute to the minimalist styling.

The latest 2009 version is equipped with twin Brembo 4-piston 4-pad radial calipers mounted on fully adjustable black anodised Showa USD forks. The musclular single sided rear swing arm has fully adjustable Showa monoshock suspension.

The 15th Anniversary SE model comes in metallic black with factory fitted colour-matched bellypan and flyscreen. A stylish gel seat, red pin-striped wheels and SE decals complete the package. The only accessories I added prior to delivery are a rear wheel hugger and rear axel nut covers which really should be included as factory fitted on this model.
